We old folks here on the farm need to acquire the reputation of being tactile. So instead of staying up in wee hours of the forloin night we instead sit out on the balcony high above the many white tailed deer that interlope among the oaks scavenging for the acorns that are now falling. The cicadas are mating, and the wind is still. The silence is lingering, then a noise, a pair of frogs groping down by the pond. Special lights have been fortified up into the tall limbs of an historic oak tree, one that once served as a flagship for the bounty boys. Yes.. this is the place where the bounty boys lived, their ghosts whisper naughty thoughts into our heads as we grabble for sanity.
